Danielle & Aldrid's Wedding Day

Every Celebratory occasion is different, but they all about having FUN during the Wedding Day. Danielle and Aldrid’s Wedding was yet another fun adventure from start to finish.

With a beautiful song by Danielle’s sister at the Wedding Ceremony and the release of Wedding Dove’s at the end of the Ceremony, this was definitely a perfect day for two people to share their hearts and a life long commitment to each other. With some funny moments at the Ceremony, the officiating minister entertainingly ensured that they kissed, twice! lol!

The more I shoot Weddings the more I realize that it takes only two souls to bring friends and family together. This level of comradery is amazing and is a constant reminder that we all need that little bit of togetherness to remind us all just how refreshing it is to be around those who we know. The free-flowing celebratory 'motivational' drinks at the Open Bar, ensured that there were "No Excuses, Not To Dance" at the Reception, awesome crowd!!! lol!!!

This being my 12th and last wedding I shot for 2017, I really enjoyed myself while securing Danielle & Aldrid's Wedding Day Memories, it was another amazing experience!

Congratulations Danielle & Aldrid!

Cindy & Gershon's Wedding Day

With a sunny day and the wind finally settling down in Cape Town, this was yet another day to remember. The Ceremony was fully packed and the excited guests couldn't wait for the Bride to make her way down the isle where her (even more excited, but much more nervous, lol!) Groom was waiting. One could sense the nerves in the air, and that's also a beautiful experience, it helps remind us all that we are in touch with our emotions.

And these same emotions were heightened by Cindy's beautiful Poem to Gershon. I found it so amazing to see the crowds reaction to it, especially the lovely ladies. With guest performances in song and Gershon playing a moving guitar rendition at the Reception, we all had an exciting time! With everybody chipping in with positive advice and a Team of Pastor's, family and friends, there was absolutely no shortage of "gefleulde woorde" at all, lol!

It was a close and intimate celebration not only between two beautiful souls but also an occasion centered around their Love for God.

Congratulations Cindy & Gershon!

Allison & Kyle's Wedding Day

If ever I had to keep up with a wedding motorcade, then it was this one, lol!! Fighting through traffic to the different locations in Cape Town behind fast luxury vehicles ain’t easy and Cape Town CBD traffic is overall tricky but it was all worth it! We all got an even tan at the beach, some more then others and it was a lovely experience. With another stunning couple tying the Knot with excited family and friends joining in.

With an overflow of champaign and wine everyone shipped away and had a good time. The Reception had two performances, one straight out of “Magic Mike” which had the Ladies going crazy and another by Allison & Kyle with a  Legendary First Dance REMIX with matching embroidered hats (floppy’s). After that, we all got down to the DJ’s hits, even me! (A little!)

I enjoyed being a part of documenting Allison & Kyle’s wedding day by means of my photography, two hearts together is a beautiful sight to witness and there was no shortage of love and champaign!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Cupido!

Claudine & Ricardo’s Wedding Day

Firstly, this was one epic journey! Driving from the other side of Cape Town to get to Franschhoek to where Claudine & Ricardo summoned their lovely guest’s...and it was a blast!

Held at a beautiful location with drinks on tap and the talented Chef Oliver that turned Beef into marshmallows (best beef fillet I ever had, yummy!), everybody had a blast! MC Lorenzo Isaacs pulled no punches, everybody’s stomach muscles also joined in on this occasion! lol! Mix that with a tear-jerking solo performance from one of the bridesmaids with a song & the grooms Frozen inspired leap, resulted in something priceless!

The reception had me dancing like I’ve got bubble gum stuck under feet, so I must admit that I’m rusted! The DJ’s were playing all the hits, I saw some crazy moves and was itching to do the moonwalker, but the dance floor was just too packed! Lol!! Love is best shared with family and friends and Claudine & Ricardo their Bridal Party made sure that there was over enough pleasantries and mostly funny moments for a memorable Wedding Day.

MC's Disclaimer: This wedding was in no way or form paid for or tendered by any Government Official, especially the Gupta’s! lol!

Congratulations Claudine & Ricardo!

AMINA & NAZEEM's WEDDING

Experiencing different weddings so quickly back-to-back during Wedding Season is super fun! Some Bridal parties are small, some are large. Amina & Nazeem’s Bridal Party consisted of twenty eager and excited family members and friends, and that was for the Second Wardrobe only! Every single member matched perfectly! With so many moving parts everybody had a good time, we even got our feet wet at the beach which definitely cooled down our toes. With 3 receptions considering of tasty feast’s and off cause my favorite, Ahkni!

Now, I love me some Chicken Samoosa’s from Wembley in Athlone but Ahkni is my kryptonite, I just can’t resist it! I turn greedy when I see it and I’m sorry to admit peeps but I had some at both Receptions. I was instantly deemed powerless, think I need Ahkni rehab, send me a link peeps!! LOL!

With endless rows of tables and chairs and even 2 Wedding Cakes, this was indeed a massive celebration and we all had an awesome time! Witnessing Amina & Nazeem’s traditional Muslim wedding reminded me of how Love can bring family and friends together in a feast of celebration.

Congratulations Amina & Nazeem!

CLAUDIA & JOEL's WEDDING

Amazing!! At this wedding, I was privileged to meet so many different funny & polite personalities from Namibia, Durban, Johannesburg and even (that nearby place) Rawsonville!

Joel's mom almost had one or two Groomsmen tear up (In their own defense, they might not admit it!) when she said goodbye to Joel at home. With a packed Church, their upbeat Minister was full of positivity and visibly excited for Claudia & Joel to begin their newly-wed journey.

At the Reception, the tossing of the bouquet was a fair competition between the ladies but the gather toss involved some obvious match-fixing as the lucky gentleman who effortlessly caught it, didn't even break a sweat!! The Bestman was entertaining and popularized an old hymn for the entire duration of the day and "bound us" all together! LOL!

Claudia & Joel's Wedding Day was filled with fun and excitement all over and was yet another true testament of just how amazing it is when two hearts are "bound" together with Love.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Jenkins!

ROXANNE & JOVAN's WEDDING

Roxanne and Jovan are yet another example of just how powerful love is. When I showed up to Roxanne's house I could sense she was slightly nervous, no wait! Not at all! Roxanne was prepped and ready for her Big Day, she was confident and super excited, and so too was Jovan. (surprisingly no visible nerves!)

Yes, there were some tears from the guest's but once again, a Wedding is a true testament of just how emotions can run crazy, especially during the ceremony. Jovan's brother, (also his best man) was by his brother's side during this exciting day and the ladies in the bridal party were jolly!! Roxanne was joined by her work colleagues at the Wedding Ceremony and it was amazingly funny! Especially when the officiating minister said that Roxanne seems to be the quiet type, this had all of them giggling! LOL!!

Both families gave very wise advice & encouragement at the Reception and I couldn't get enough of the spring rolls. (That was some really great tasting spring rolls, yummy!) It is considered very rare if a brother and sister catch the bouquet and the gather, and that's exactly what happened at the Reception. Wedding's should always be about enjoying your day and these two lovely souls definitely did.

Congratulations Roxanne & Jovan!

SHARNE & ASHLEY's WEDDING

Magical is the word that comes to mind when Sharne & Ashley got blessed with sunny weather on their Wedding Day. Shooting a Wedding right on the edge of Winter might be fun for me. (because I love a challenge!) ...But not so much for Bride's & Groom's because the heat turns into cold waaaay earlier than any other season. Sharne & Ashley were real Troopers and braved the cold, effortlessly!

The beautiful dress Sharne's mom made really had everybody in awe and the look on Ashley's face when his bride came down the aisle was super priceless. With a beautifully decorated venue, no couple could ask for anything more.

With wonderful guest's and a live singing performance by a funny gentleman at the Reception who had us all laughing, It was one entertaining evening.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bennett!

HAILEY & LEON's WEDDING

With a classic theme, Hailey & Leon's Wedding had one big bridal party. Perfect weather with a slight drizzle (mot reen) the morning on route to Leon. But Cape Town clouds quickly cleared on route to Hailey before heading to Church. I shot one of the biggest group photo's I've ever shot at this Wedding and the guests were all jolly! Oh-WoW!

Hailey looked amazing in her dress and Leon couldn't contain his excitement while getting ready to walk his bride down the aisle. Looking stylish in his suit and being cheered on by his groomsmen, Leon sure had fun!!

At the reception, Hailey tossed her bouquet into the largest group of single ladies (to Beyonce's - Single Ladies) and let me also add that these single ladies, were seriously competing to catch her bouquet! Hopefully, they too will wed soon, good luck ladies!

Music was once again well planned and executed by DJ Neil who is no stranger to Weddings. This is the second Wedding that I have experienced just how well prepared he is plus the quality of the service he delivers. This made my job much easier, as he had the guest's dancing!

There was no shortage of laughs at this wedding, we all had a great time!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Roberts!

TAMLYN & SEAN'S WEDDING

Having shot Tamlyn & Sean's Engagement and seeing the photo's used for the invitations had both me and my wife very excited for their Wedding Day. I could sense the nerves in the foyer just before Tamlyn was about to walk down the aisle in her beautiful dress.

Tamlyn & Sean's choice of attire suited both their personalities and location perfectly! They totally knocked it out the park from head to toe. And let me add that the location was stunningly green, which makes me very happy because I love to shoot outdoors!!

The Bridal Party was a breeze to work with and brought along so much funny moments which made for a lot of laughter, hahaha! What made my day the easiest while covering Tamlyn & Sean's Wedding was the fact that everyone involved was super friendly and very co-operative. Great food (standard perks of cause! haha!) plus great people created the perfect scene for this wonderful couple.

Tracy Carter the Gospel singer really moved all the guest's with her powerful voice, so there was no lack in Entertainment!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Nkosi!

KELLY & MORNE

Kelly & Morne's Wedding Day was another true testament of undeniable Love. Them being friends for a long time and eventually falling for each other forms part of their amazing journey together. The excitement from family and friends plus a large motorcade made up of Luxury SUV's was a pleasant sight.

Their Black and White color scheme was visibly noticed from the car ribbons, Wedding Cake and their large memory photo frame at the Reception. Attention to detail even transcended down to Kelly's nail art! Bridal Make-Up was done professionally and the entire bridal party was "fresh off the runway"!

The competition was extremely tight for the tossing of the flower Bouquet and Garter. The gentlemen who caught the Garter simply had a hilarious celebration!! hehe! At this wedding, there were absolutely no celebratory shortcomings with DJ Riedah on the decks!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Maart!

LAUREN & RYAN'S WEDDING

It was a beautiful day! Generally, South African heat is unforgiving, but luckily a tiny bit of drizzle (rain!) cooled down the entire bridal party. What a refreshing bonus! There was no shortage of smiles at the Wedding and the sense of community from friends and family were amazing!

Everyone came together (including her Rock-Star Wedding Planner!) and showed their Love and Support. Ryan and his Groomsmen were funny! Lauren shared exciting conversations with her friends and I couldn't get enough of the cupcakes. Everything was a breeze, I enjoyed every moment. I also did the moonwalker to my favourite song courtesy of DJ Neil @ the Wedding Reception, hehe!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hercules!

Lauren & RyaN - ENGAGEMENT

Ryan will be awarding Lauren with probably the Best Surname I've heard in years and their wedding is around the Corner. These two giggle and chuckle allot, which I totally loved! One can never anticipate the weather on one's Wedding Day but judging by Mr. & Mrs. Hercules enthusiasm and chemistry, a fun day is guaranteed!

Tamlyn & Sean - Engagement

I met Tamlyn through my wife a few years ago, they are best friends. Naturally they would choose me to be their photographer at some point, right? Exactly that! What a breeze it was, Tamlyn & Sean are easy going folks and we enjoyed every minute!

Kelly & Morne - engagement

I know Morne not only as a client but also as the Best Man at my wedding. We've been buds since high school and his mom is a brilliant cook, I view them as family! What a breeze, although it was a windy Sunday afternoon. Kelly & Morne's wedding is around the corner and we are all very excited. Really looking forward to catching up with this cool couple on their Wedding Day. I almost forgot their engagement ring on a branch during their shoot, imagine that! lol!

Hailey & Leon - Engagement

When I first met Hailey & Leon I can remember my wife saying... "Larry, dont talk too much" because I do get carried away with my Meet & Greet over Coffee, lol! Hailey & Leon wanted old/vintage type of buildings/backgrounds and we ended up in sunny Stellenbosch. We had a good time, they are a super cool couple and we are looking forward to their Wedding Day, bring on the cake!
